The à la mods product family grew out of a need to automate the electronic systems development and testing process for smaller projects that can't afford the cost of extensive fixtures and test equipment.

Most of our projects required the same eighty percent of the testing functionality, so as our projects grew we started building small focused modules for testing both during the development process as well as production.

We chose to create these modules to enhance the functionality of the Raspberry Pi® for various reasons of which its relative performance to cost, vast software ecosystem and its open source nature were among the top. This allowed us to develop full systems and test much faster.

We also started working with local technical schools helping them teach the engineering concepts of the IoT world we live in today. This drove us to expand the products into remote sensing, networking and smartphone apps.
